Samantha Stanfill

President

Sami is a third-year Business major. She works for UCR’s Center for Social Innovation where she is the Website Design Student Assistant. She plans to pursue a law career after college and is excited to start her journey as President of Theta Epsilon. She has her own Youtube Channel @samistanfill where she vlogs and edits her own videos. For fun, she likes to travel with her travel campaign Daisy,her dog, take pictures and spend time with her sisters. Her home may be in Seattle but she has truly found her home away from home in Sigma Kappa.

Cayla Newman

Ritual Chair

Cayla is a second-year double major in Media and Cultural Studies and Creative Writing. She has had three of her original pieces published in various magazines. Being a member of Sigma Kappa has been one of the best decisions she has ever made, and she looks forward to making a positive impact on her chapter with this position.

Rubey Mendoza

Vice President of Membership

Rubey is a third year education major. After her time at UCR she hopes to attend an accelerated post baccalaureate program for nursing as her goal is to be a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She was born and raised in the city of Chicago. Her most used word is “ope” and she is a life-long fan of the Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks. In her free time Rubey loves to draw and write as well as go on spontaneous adventures with her sisters.

Gabrielle Castelo

Vice President of Standards and Values

Gabby is a third-year Cellular, Molecular and Developmental Biology major. She is interested in pursuing a career in the health field, but ultimately aspires to go to pharmacy school after her undergraduate education. She enjoys reading, taking Buzzfeed quizzes, and attending concerts in her free time.

Olimpia Marmolejo

Vice President of Programming

Olimpia is a third year from the Spring 2018 pledge class and is a first generation college student. She has decided to double major in Religious Studies and Art History to prepare her for her dream of becoming a history teacher in her hometown of Los Angeles. This Fall 2019 quarter she is proud to have joined the nonprofit Boys and Girls club. She is super eager to work with the community to help give back to the youth. Outside of school, she loves to go to Disneyland and is determined to complete her 6th marathon before her college graduation.

Jasmine Pennala

Vice President of New Member Education

Jasmine is a second-year double majoring in History and Global Studies. She loves to make memories wherever she goes, whether it be with the sisters she met through Sigma Kappa or her friends and family. She enjoys diving deep into astrology, creating artsy montages and videos, and thrifting.

Aspen Kleppe

Vice President of Alumnae Relations

Aspen is a second-year languages major with a concentration in Spanish and a minor in Theater, Film, and Digital Production. She plans to study abroad and spend her time traveling after she graduates, teaching English in other countries. She loves to sing and even tried out for Season 15 of America’s Got Talent in November 2019. She is willing to try any kind of food and usually is found by her best friend’s side during her free time. She constantly has an overactive imagination and is willing to have a new take on an old idea.

Brittany De Los Reyes

Vice President of Communications and Operations

Brittany is a second-year biochemistry major who aspires to go to medical school after undergrad to pursue a career in the health field. She’s from the city of Menifee and is often spending time with her family. She enjoys shopping, watching movies, and overall just getting to spend time with her sisters in SIgma Kappa. She is very excited for this upcoming year and to be more involved within her chapter.

Caitlin Rivenbark

Vice President of Finance

Caitlin is a third year Dance major looking into a minor in Psychology. She hopes to be dancing professionally on Broadway after graduation, then go to grad school to become a Dance Therapist for children on the spectrum. She currently works at the Lothian Residential Restaurant. She loves to dance, go on night time drives, and hang out with her sisters. One unique skill that Caitlin has is that she can do a costume change in under a minute.

Bella Torresani

Vice President of Philanthropic Service

Bella is a first year pre-business student from the Bay Area. She loves watching Netflix, gardening, painting her nails, swimming, and hanging out with her friends and family. She joined Sigma Kappa because she felt connected with the sisters and philanthropies.

Tracy Vu

Vice President of Academic Excellence

Tracy is a second-year Political Science major, intending on minoring in Computer Science. She’s interested in working in the criminal justice field, and hopes that her computer science degree will help her get paid more. She’s always out and about with her friends and family, and especially with her dog, Gucci. She loves to travel, go to concerts, and can never say no when someone invites her to go anywhere.

Natasha Garibay

Panhellenic Delegate

Natasha Garibay is a first year psychology major. She is from Ventura County specifically Camarillo. However, her dad is in the Navy so she has lived in 3 different countries. She loves meeting new people and having different experiences. She loves to dance, play soccer and spend time with friends. She hopes that she can grow and represent Sigma Kappa in this position.

Abhilasha Goel

Historian and Triangle Correspondent

Abhilasha is a 1st year Pre-Business major. She is from a city in the Bay Area called Cupertino. She loves photography and graphic design and has her own portfolio. She loves shopping, going to concerts, and going out with friends. She hopes to continue to grow and make lots of memories at UCR and as a member of Sigma Kappa.

Nicole Velasco

Public Relations Chair

Nicole is a first year psychology major. She loves going to the beach, watching Netflix, and hanging out with friends. She joined Sigma Kappa because she wanted to form new friendships and find her home away from home.

Briana is a first year sociology major. She is from Costa Mesa in Orange County CA and she loves going to the beach with her friends. She hopes to grow more as a person and make lots of memories as a member of Sigma Kappa.

Gabby Gomez

Social Chair

Gabby is a first year Psychology major. She really enjoys going to concerts and hanging out at the beach with her dogs. She is a Bay Area native and loves a good Giants Game.

Lorena Alvarado

Activities Chair

Lorena is a first year trying to declare her major as Philosophy/Law and Society. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and loves spending her time helping others and giving back to her community by volunteering at the Mar Vista Family Center, a non profit organization that helped shape her into the leader she is today. She enjoys reading and writing in her free time. She loves listening to music and drawing to relax. She hopes to attend law school after completing her undergraduate years and continue to learn from her sisters.

Heidi Torres

Diversity and Inclusion Chair

Heidi is a first year Psychology major. She is from city called Hayward on the East side of the Bay Area. She loves dancing and playing sports like lacrosse and basketball. She loves spending time with her friends and family. She hopes to grow more as a person and make more memories and connections at UCR and as a member of Sigma Kappa.

Farhana Haque

Sisterhood Chair

Farhana is a junior going into her senior year and she is minoring in Liberal Studies. She likes to cook and go to instagramable coffee shops and cafes. She also enjoys taking pictures, traveling, and going on road trips with friends. She joined Sigma Kappa because it is where she felt accepted for being who she is. She says that Sigma Kappa offered her a genuine sisterhood which aligned with her values making it the best place to call home away from home.

Lauryn is a first year Political Science major with a concentration on Public Service. She was born and raised and Riverside, CA. She loves to play volleyball in her free time. She loves spending time with friends and family. Her favorite shows as Friends and The Office. She hopes to make new friends and grow as a person through Sigma Kappa.
